One of our village programs was conducted in the village of Ababi, Karangasem. Funded by Jeff Webster and Tricia O’Connell supporting JFF’s Adopt a MEC Village Program, Jeff and Tricia selected the village themselves and participated in the screening and operating activities.
In Jeff’s words:
“Truly it was an amazing experience, shedding tears of joy for three days. The most fulfilling, emotional event in my life. I only wish more people could participate and receive themselves the most amazing gift and moving moments of being there, and feel the help, emotion, warmth and thanks from these beautiful people. Tricia followed one elderly lady from the initial checking, testing, anaesthetic, operation and the removal of the bandage. Then going back to her home with her family and being given coconut to drink and chatting in our broken Indonesian and given wisdom, love and so much thanks. Your team is doing an amazing job.”
