Technology Transfer in Plastic Surgery

Over three days 14 babies and young people with congenital defects such as cleft lips and palates, and four who required corrective surgery for burns contractions and other problems were operated. Dr Tim Cooper, AM was joined by Dr Jesse Kenton-Smith in this surgical training program in which Letkol CKM dr IGN Aryana, SpB, surgeon from the Udayana Army Hospital was able to learn more about the very specialised techniques of cleft and plastic surgery. Dr Jesse is a specialist in palate surgery and was a great boost to this technology transfer program.
