Twenty-eight people were fitted with custom-made prosthetic eyes – 14 females and 14 males. Most of these patients were assisted during our offshore eye programs in East Java.
Twenty-nine people were fitted with custom-made prosthetic eyes – 19 females and 10 males.
Twenty-six people were fitted with custom-made prosthetic eyes in May and June – 13 females and 13 males. Ages ranged from 10 to 75, with the majority receiving their first artificial eye. Four of the patients were from Bali, while 22 received their artificial eyes during JFF’s offshore eye programs.
Seven people received a prosthetic eye in March and April - 2 males and 5 females - all custom-made by JFF’s ocularist.
A total of 33 people received a prosthetic eye in January and February, 15 males and 18 females, all custom-made by JFF’s ocularist. Twenty-nine of the patients were fitted with their artificial eye in the offshore eye program in Jember in January, the remainder in Bali.
A total of 40 people received a prosthetic eye in November and December, custom-made by JFF’s ocularist. Thirty-seven of these were fitted with their artificial eye in the offshore eye programs in Java in September, the remainder in Bali.

Twenty-three people (15 female, 8 male) received a prosthetic eye in May and June, custom-made by JFF’s ocularist as part of JFF’s outreach eye programs in East Java.

Nine more people received a prosthetic eye in March and April, custom-made by JFF’s ocularist. The provision of an artificial eye makes such a difference to the patients’ lives, restoring their self confidence, and opening up wider opportunities for them.
Four people were fitted with custom-made prosthetic eyes in Bali by JFF’s ocularist, Wayan Wijaya in January and February – two receiving their first artificial eye and two their second.
