Eye screening and operating programs were conducted in Larantuka and Ruteng, Flores NTT. During these programs 4,318 people with vision problems were checked and 526 blind people received sight-restoring operations.

During the Ruteng program 21 blind children were identified when our team conducted eye checks at a local school for disabled children. Six were operated during the program and the remaining 15 will be operated in a special surgical visit scheduled for October.
