Flower Motif Bookmark

$117.00

Sterling silver bookmark designed exclusively by ANTIKA for the John Fawcett Foundation. The representation of a flower was inspired from a batik pattern called Motif Batik Ageng.

This pattern is believed to have originated in Java, and the batik cloth is believed to have been used by past kings to attend the palace for traditional ceremonies. The pattern is believed to convey a leader of noble character, of someone who is fair and who protects those and the environment around them.

The flower depicts the tree of life – a representation of prosperity, justice, power, and fertility.
