The Annual General Meeting of JFFA, held on 10 May in Perth, was well attended by our supporters. Board changes
Professor Bill Morgan accepted the position of Chair after David Miller stood down for family reasons. Dean Bowker and Richard Elsey stood down, David Miller accepted the role of Secretary, and four new Board members were introduced –
- Sally Grice, retired chartered accountant with extensive financial and general management experience,taking on the Treasurer’s role following Phil Andrew’s stepping down from that role.
- Dr dr AA Mas Putrawati Triningrat SpM(K), Balinese ophthalmologist, lecturer, and researcher, who will help strengthen links between JFF and relevant academic institutions in Bali and to advise on eye health regulations in Indonesia.
- Fiona Berger, registered WA nurse with extensive nurse and hospital practice management, and an interest in equity, governance and management
- Dr Joos Meyer, Accredited Ophthalmology Trainee in Perth, will apply his clinical knowledge, leadership skills, and innovative thinking to aid JFF’s work in sight restoration and blindness prevention.
