In February Dr Tony Moriarty, ophthalmologist from the UK, spent 10 days in Bali in February as a volunteer consultant, accompanying JFF’s team and local ophthalmologists on village visits, assessing surgical techniques and outcomes. As well as being very enthusiastic and impressed with the work being done, Tony was able to make many very pertinent and useful suggestions to improve our program and the service we offer to our patients.
Tony’s comments: “I am having an incredible time here – staff incredible – this is an unbelievable project – it touches so many people’s lives – so often we forget that – you should be so proud of what you do to keep this project going.”
