Returning to Lumajang District After 16 Years

In February, the Foundation carried out its first offshore program of the year in Lumajang District, East Java, returning to the area for the first time since 2010 and bringing essential eye care services back to the community after 16 years. The program in February included four days of patient screenings followed by three days of surgeries.

This program was made possible through collaboration with the Lumajang District Government, Gupdi Lumajang, Yayasan Sentuhan Abadi, and Perdami Malang Raya (Indonesian Ophthalmologist Association).

 

Impact in Just One Week

Thousands of residents from Lumajang and surrounding communities came seeking treatment and hope for clearer vision. During this offshore program, the JFF team delivered a wide range of eye care services:
