At an eye screening and operating program in Bondowoso in September 2,089 people with vision problems were checkedand 281 blind people received sight-restoring operations.

Twenty people received a prosthetic eye in September and October, custom-made by JFF’s ocularist. Seventeen of these were fitted with their artificial eye in the offshore eye program in East Java in September.

Robert Rosen’s photographic exhibition in aid of JFF’s programs, held from August to October at the Hotel Oberoi in Seminyak, Bali, was very successful, and we thank Robert sincerely for this generous support for our work.

At the end of July we said goodbye to Arya who has worked as Administration Assistance with JFFI for over six years while undertaking university studies. Arya has gone to the USA for 12 months for work experience, and we wish him well.

Photographer, Robert Rosen, has organised an exhibition held over two months (August – mid-October) at the Hotel Oberoi in Seminyak, Bali, with all funds raised to go to JFF.
In July the Bali staff held the annual blessing ceremony at JFF Headquarters, giving thanks for the health of the JFF families, and success in everything JFF does for helping others in need.
The last two months saw a return to a busy schedule for the JFF team, with three offshore eye programs, 10 Bali village programs, and 15 clinics and operating sessions at Headquarters. JFF’s Outreach Eye Clinics also increased their numbers of free cataract surgeries.
