Meet Komang Deep

Six-month-old Komang lives with his parents, sister and brother in a family compound shared with two other families on the rim of the Batur volcanic crater in Kintamani. His mother was very distressed when he was born, wondering what she and her husband had done wrong and why this had happened. She was happy to hear about JFF’s free surgical program from a friend in a nearby village who had a child with similar problems who was operated with an excellent result, and she hopes, that with his lip and later palate repair, Komang can live as a normal child.
