The Foundation’s team is nearing its 1,000,000th patient since the beginning of the Sight Restoration Project in 1991 – a figure of which we are justifiably very proud. Over the same period we have operated around 44,000 patients blind with cataracts, changing the lives of these needlessly blind people in a very positive, dramatic way. This has been achieved over 24 years with an enthusiastic, dedicated team of nurses, screeners, technicians, ophthalmologists, office and support staff, as well the generosity of many donors. Thank you to all.
